Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the Big Brother's 22nd season which premiered on CBS 5 August 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator as well as one of the early hosts on The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. It was only when she began writing that her passion for writing emerged. Her outstanding talk show also brought the host an Emmy. Between 2002 and 2010 Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. In the past, she served as anchor for the news segment of The Early Show and anchor of CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's morning-to-day, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves reported on several important news events for The Early Show, including the 2003 war in Iraq. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo following the events of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. In Cairo, she scoured her down and spoke with the father who led the hijackers in an eye-opening and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. The program featured stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx Katie Holmes, Scarlett Jhansson Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro Jennifer Lopez, and Matthew McConaughey. Prior to joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a journalist at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). Also, she was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first job was as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of Moonves' journalism heroes. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont program Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on the Los Angeles riots of '92.
